Future Couture-Surrealism

This idea of a ‘Chess Story’ was a concept I originally developed for my Chanel book «Women of Singular Beauty», for the Chapter «Coco Chanel and the Arts» to explain her working relationships with Artists during that time.

I have a fascination with Surrealism as far back as my student days as an artist and painter. I like to create a Surreal «Dream Ambience» for photo production.
For this photograph, I mocked up scenes painted on a canvas of surreal motifs in order to create a ‘picture-within-a-picture’ story.
